FAQs

Where does the raw material come from?

PLASTIC SERIE: the single surf racks, the multiple racks for 3 to 6 boards and the skate mounts are made from post-industrial and post-consumer plastic waste that would otherwise be incinerated, sent to landfill, or that we collect on our beaches.

WOOD SERIE: the surf racks, skate mounts and surf stands are made of Valchromat, from recycled wood fibres sourced from sustainably managed, FSC-certified forests.

CARDBOARD SERIE: the hanging surf rack combines a cradle of recycled and recyclable cardboard with paracord. Available in November.

What waste is used?

PLASTIC SERIE: in our recycled plastic racks and mounts, you will find several of the following types of waste:

  • Plastic waste from the cosmetics industry
  • Plastic waste from the automotive industry and electrical conduits
  • Plastic waste from household recycling
  • Milk bottles
  • Flower pots
  • Pharmaceutical bottles
  • Post-consumer bottle caps
  • Bottle caps collected on the beaches of the southern Landes
  • Offcuts from hospital beds
  • Offcuts from go-kart seats

WOOD SERIE: Valchromat combines recycled wood fibres from sustainably managed forests with organic pigments and a resin free of harmful glues (E1 standard).

Where are EDERRAK products made?

Our suppliers are French and produce the materials in their workshops in the Basque Country, Gironde and Île-de-France. For cutting and machining, we work with trusted local suppliers in the Basque Country and the Landes. The cardboard for the Cardboard Serie is made in France by our partner.

Which colours, and can I customise?

We offer many colours, which vary depending on the materials available from our suppliers. The combinations are endless: feel free to contact us for a custom order.

How do I care for EDERRAK products?

PLASTIC SERIE: a simple wash with water is enough. For stubborn dirt, use white vinegar and a microfibre cloth. With regular use, the material may develop a patina or get scratched: a fine sanding restores its new look.

WOOD SERIE: dust regularly with a soft cloth and clean with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, without harsh products or solvents. A natural oil (the Rubio range, for example) or a varnish improves its resistance to moisture and stains. Avoid prolonged exposure to water.

CARDBOARD SERIE: indoor use only, keep in a dry place. The paracord can be washed with soap and water.

What types of boards?

We have carried out the necessary tests to ensure our racks are strong.

The single surf racks work for a shortboard or longboard as well as a snowboard or longskate.

The multiple racks hold 3 to 6 surfboards — the only limit is your ceiling height.

The skate mounts are perfect for skateboard and longskate decks.

The surf stands, sold as a pair, hold any surfboard for waxing, repairs and shaping.
